The deadline to reserve your room at the Marriott Newport Beach Hotel and Spa has been extended to Saturday, May 16th! 4/29/09 No Session Recording Due to budgetary constraints, we will be unable to record any sessions at this year's Conference. Speakers wishing to have their sessions recorded are encouraged to make separate arrangements with the recording company of their choice. 3/28/09 Fax Number Incorrect The numbers listed in the FAX section on the blue registration form found in the Registration book are incorrect. The correct FAX number for registration is (858) 484-6355. The number to call if you do not receive an E-mail confirmation is (760) 431-8167. 3/28/09 Session 8E Speaker Changed The new speaker for Session 8E, Where in the World: Geography Through Children’s Literature, will be Nicole Young. Nicole has just finished her thesis on geography in children's literature. 3/28/09 Hotel Parking Rate Incorrect in Confirmation E-mail The E-mail confirmation hotel guests receive upon registering is generated from the standard information on Marriott.com which indicates parking is $18. However, when Conference guests check in they will only be charged $10 as stated in the registration materials. 3/28/09 Airport Shuttle Discontinued The Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa has discontinued its complimentary shuttle from John Wayne Airport. Information on private shuttle and taxi service can be found on the airport website: http://www.ocair.com/GroundTransport/GTMap.htm.
